Delegates Meet at Québec Conference to Plan Confederation

On October 10, 1864, the Quebec Conference opened at the Hotel St. Louis in Quebec City, as the 33 delegates started drafting The 72 Resolutions as an outline to the proposed union, which will form the core of the British North America Act.

The Quebec Conference wound up on October 29, 1864. The delegates will finally meet at the London Conference, starting December 6, 1866.
