Welcome to The Confederation Years
From Confederation
We have established this portal to help celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Confederation - the Canadian sesquicentennial - coming up in 2017.
The Confederation Years is dedicated to the study and celebration of those critical years, between 1863 and 1873, when the provinces and territories of what is now Canada came together as a new nationality. It contains a narrative history, a detailed timeline, documents, including Confederation debates, galleries and other resources.
This site is under development. We invite your commends, criticism and suggestions.
